Each workshop is supported by a service team of 8 – 9 men who have completed Essentially Men and further training in support skills. These men attend the workshop to continue their own work and support the process of the new men participating.
Each team has a coordinator, and the coordinators meet regularly and bring together the teams and organise the team training days.
Being “on team” is a rewarding and often challenging experience and is a way for men to enjoy giving back and making a difference in the lives of new men attending. Men find it a powerful and satisfying experience that reaffirms the rich value of the process – for themselves- as well as the men attending for the first time. The workshop leaves a deep impression on service team members’ lives and creates lasting connections with the men attending.
“…This was the first time that I have been on a service team…It was an awesome, magical experience for me. I have never experienced anything like this before. I felt so proud to be part of the service team and it was so rewarding to see the change in the men…”
