Men on the Mountain
Spring Gathering
Overview
The gathering is an opportunity to connect with men of the community on the edge of beautiful Mt Pirongia
As the new growth of spring emerges this is an opportunity to gather with men and look to the promise of a new year and explore what is emerging.
With Covid leading to the cancellation of Get off the Concrete (GOTC 22) this is a chance to gather in a beautiful outdoor setting. This may help to fill the gap in connection and community left through the loss of GOTC 22.
The Pirongia Forest Park Lodge is situated on the eastern edge of the Pirongia Forest Park. There is easy access to the tracks in the bush and a stunning vista over the Waikato.
What's covered
A weekend of rich companionship and inspiring dialogue.
There will be an opportunity to do a solid walk on Mt Pirongia on the Saturday afternoon. If you wish to participate in this (and your fitness level is up to it) bring appropriate resources for being in the NZ bush at altitude. (Thermals, wet weather gear, appropriate foot wear and backpack).
There are also tracks on the mountain and short walks around the lodge as well as a 100m flying fox and a six hole frisbee golf course.
Who's it for?
All men who are part of the EM network or who have experienced personal growth in men’s groups are welcome at this event.
Outcomes
This is a chance to look to our expansion as we head towards summer and longer days.
We can stretch our legs walking on the mountain or relax on the deck of the lodge. This is a chance to enjoy some time away from our busy lives in a beautiful setting in the spirit of GOTC and Heartbeat.
